Corporate fasting in January is much the same precept as praying in the morning to establish Gods will for the entire day. If we pray and seek and give God our best at the first of the year, He will bless our entire year! What is biblical fasting? Simply stated, biblical fasting is refraining from any type of food for a period of time in order to achieve a greater spiritual goal.  According to the Bible, there are three duties of every Christian: Give, Pray and Fast.  When you give God your first through fasting, prayer and giving at the beginning of the year, you set the course for the entire year. I sincerely believe that 2011 will be a year of exponential breakthrough and progress if we seek God's face.  Fasting is a discipline that sends a message...we mean business. When we fast, we press into God on a different level and this jumpstarts certain activities in the supernatural that brings about a miracles.  A miracle is God bypassing, ignoring or bending the physical laws of the universe to accomplish a spiritual goal which often manifests in the physical realm.  Listen 2011 is the year to "THRIVE" so lets press into God in this time of fasting and prayer.

OUR BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF US AND THAT IS GOOD NEWS! You see, the discipline of fasting releases "THE BLESSING" - the favor of God in the life of the Christian when approached properly.  God has left us a choice and He won't infringe upon that choice because we are free moral agents but He is always showing us the right path by His Spirit.  The choice is simple, if you want a better year than the last, join in this time of fasting and prayer to experience God’s release of grace on every part of your life.  When you worship God as He deserves, He is magnified.  As you join in this time of corporate fast, you will be amazed at the things God will show you as you PRESS in to Him. It was said in the books of Acts that "...David had served God's purpose in his own generation..."Acts 13:36.  You know deep down inside that there is more to you than this…, that there is an assignment for your life. You feel that God wants to do something in your life that you can’t put into words  because you can't see the full picture yet and so there is a genuine desperation for those things gripping your heart.  You must understand that there are dimensions of God that will never be revealed to the casual disinterested worshiper and walls of intercession that will never be scaled by routine or dispassionate religious services. But, when you take the steps to break out of the ordinary and worship Him as he deserves, you’ll begin to experience God in ways you never knew existed because God will begin to share secrets with you about Himself, His plans, and His desires for you.  This, friend is achieved though fasting and prayer because your prayers will take on a powerful edge when you combine them with fasting.  SO JOIN US AT LIFECHANGERS FOR LIFE TRANSFORMATION ON THIS 21-DAY JOURNEY FASTING AND PRAYER                                                                                                                                                     Banjo Olowe-Lead Pastor of LC
